Hosting Supper Clubs at Virginia Tech Spring 2023

PURPOSE
Our vision is to connect international students/scholars/visitors (and possibly their families) with committed hosts from partnering churches in the Blacksburg area.
These events can offer support to international guests and provide a valuable cross cultural experience for both students and hosts. The relationships formed may continue beyond Supper Club. This is a great way for your household (housemates, spouse, children) to be directly involved in blessing the nations!
OVERVIEW
Once we have received all host applications, new hosts will attend an orientation on expectations and goals of Supper Clubs as well as cross-cultural hospitality. After we have received all the guest registrations, hosts will be assigned guests (2-4) for the semester. . These occasions are not limited to meals; other activities can be substituted. However, seeing your home and family life is very important.
Setting meal dates is stressful. Please start with the dates we are suggesting (see below) and work from there.
Try to make commitments at the Kick-off Dinner!
